Kris Hermes
Kris Hermes is a west coast activist and legal worker who has engaged in mass protest legal support for more than 20 years. In addition to working with several autonomous legal collectives and the Mass Defense Committee of the National Lawyers Guild over the years, Kris also co-founded the Grand Jury Resistance Project. Kris works as a communications strategist and freelance journalist, and has trained defendants to garner media attention for their legal cases. In 2015, PM Press published Kris's book Crashing the Party: Legacies and Lessons from the RNC 2000, a case study of how activists used collective action in the courtroom to overcome serious criminal charges.
